Chester decides he has to find a way to let Rachell know when he needs to go out and do his business because he wants to be the best dog ever for her. He learns over a short time after arriving at Rachell’s house that she seems to lean toward a set schedule every couple of hours when she picks him up and carries him outside.
Chester thinks, “I’m not a dog to go on demand, so I should figure out a way to let her know when to take me out.”
He sets on his way to see if he can take steps to get Rachell to understand when he was ready to go out and take care of his outdoor needs. He figured he may require more than one way to accomplish this feat and would explore several ways going forward.
Chester’s first attempt works quite well. He jumps up on her and stares at her. He imagines his intensity sends vibes to help her realize what he is trying to convey. She is keen and attentive when he does this.

Rachell asks, “what is it, Chester?”
That is all he desires to hear. Chester turns and runs to the back door where Rachell normally goes to let him out.
He determines, “Barking once and standing at the door tells her what I’m aiming for!”
Rachell follows him and knows instantly what he’s saying.
“Good boy, Chester. I’m so proud of you for telling me when you need to use the bathroom!” she exclaims reinforcing his behavior.
Chester decides, “That was easy, and I will not need to try other options as long as this works for now.”
He shows her how happy he is by wagging his tail briskly when he hears her praise.
What a wonderful feeling Chester and Rachell share at this moment when he learns, “Now, I can her attention for going out!”
