Fourth Grass?

After the abrupt stop from the grass to the driveway, Rachell decides to take Chester out to the back yard and see if he will hop on the stone path up the back stoop and into the house thru the back door.

Chester questions, “What is Rachell exploring today?”

She places him in the grassy area and takes him for a short walk along the base of the hill at the back of the property. He follows behind closely at her heals. Rachell is very careful taking each step cautiously. This closeness clearly shows Chester is still nervous learning his new surroundings. Rachell is very careful taking each stride. He tries to figure out the safest place to be by walking behind, then trying next to her step by step. He’s getting the knack of this new life and shows her how happy he is with a spring as he jumps toward her.

Chester compliments Rachell as they move around the area thinking, “A fabulous change is happening for me by moving into this new home with her!”

They circle past the tomato plants at the right and move towards the inlaid walkway. Just as they reach the grassy edge, Chester stops abruptly and pulls back on the leash. Rachell stops and looks down at him. He is facing the intertwined pavestones and digging in his paws to avert stepping toward the back door. She tugs gently to see if he will budge, but that is not happening.

She reminds herself to bring some treats with their next outing to try to get him to move in her direction.

Chester sits firmly in the grass assuring her he’s decided, “I’m limiting my adventure to, what’s the count, FOURTH GRASS?”
